Antonietta Collins
Antonietta Toni Collins is an Mexican American Sportcaster. She is currently employed by ESPN as a news anchor for SportsCenter and, occasionally, host SportsNation. She began her career at ESPN in the year 2016. She is the daughter of the journalist on television Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta has been bilingual since her age of nine. Her ability was crucial in helping her land her first role as production assistant at Univision Miami at which time she was a producer of programs like Nuestra Belleza Latina and Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud. The CBS station in St. Petersburg hired her in the following year as reporters for sports. She was a reporter on KNVO TV 48 Univision in Rio Grande Valley Texas. Covering stories relating to illegal immigration as well as drug trafficking across the Texas and Mexico frontier, she served as a journalist on KNVO TV 48 Univision, the Spanish channel KNVO TV48 Univision and Fox2 News. The station also frequently asked her to be an anchor for weather and sports. Deportes 23 in Dallas, the Univision affiliate station for Dallas. She was also given more accountability. Antonietta Collins' parents are originally from Veracruz Mexico. They moved towards Mexico City, where Antonietta Collins was born on November of 1985. There is also a sister. In 1992, the family relocated from Mexico and relocated to Miami. In 1992, her parents divorced following which, in the year 1995 she got married again Fabio Fajardo, an engineer from the navy who passed away in the year 2006 from kidney cancer. At the end of June 2006, she spent the week she spent with her sister at Canton Ohio. The older Collins girl was working there. Antonietta who was in high school having a clear idea of where she envisioned her future career would look like, came to Mount Union University to check whether the university was suitable for her. She loved the campus. The university also provided her with the degree she wanted. She graduated from high school and was accepted in the university for a degree in media studies. Her relationship lasted for a while with her professor Mark Bergmann who was the manager at WRMU 91.1 FM of which she was a participant. He encouraged her to be confident in herself and his enthusiasm for journalism was deeply affecting her as did she. She was determined to fulfill his expectations, and to never fail him.
